The Upper Room - Youth Ministry

 

S.O.S. (Saturday of Service)

Hey gracers, summer is quickly approaching and if you remember we are going to have one Saturday this summer where we care for the needs of GFC.  This is the first step in the process and so I am asking you all what work needs to be done.  
I would like to extend the offer to anyone, but would request that those of you who are:

elderly

physically unable

single moms

widowed

have a neighbor
(let's try and concentrate our efforts here first)


Here is what we are looking for in a job request:

1.  Something that can be done/accomplished in 2-3 hours

2.  Something that a group of people can accomplish together (families)

3.  Something within 20 minutes or so from the church so they can drive there, get the work done, and get back on time

*If you aren't sure your job need qualifies send it anyway and then I will look at it, talk with you and get it figured out

*Remember that submission of a job request does NOT guarantee we can do the work for you.  I have to get jobs from you, organize them, and then try and fill in the jobs with families.

*Also, we will organize the families to the jobs, and then they will contact you with questions and making sure the tools and supplies needed for the job are covered per my direction.

*You must be able to be at your home on the following Saturday for us to do the work.  

The Saturday date this Summer:
July 28th

1pm-6pm meeting at the church for prayer and instructions at 1pm, going out and performing the work, and then returning for worship, games and food outside.

DEADLINE for work wanted DONE on July 28th:  JULY 6th

**Please come BACK with your servants to the church for the worship and food that evening.
